FirstHand FirstAid

FirstHand FirstAid has proudly been serving West Central Saskatchewan since 2010. We currently provide training in the Kerrobert, Luseland, Major, Coleville, Kindersley, Unity, Plenty, and Macklin areas.

We train to Canadian Red Cross ILCOR standards and comply fully with Occupational Health and Safety requirements. Our Owner/Operator brings over ten years of EMS experience, along with extensive Emergency Management expertise.

We specialize in comprehensive first aid, CPR, and advanced emergency response training for workplaces, organizations, and individuals. If you don't see a courses listed you are interested about, feel free to contact us.

All prices include GST and PST.


Course Offerings & Pricing

  • Standard First Aid (SFA) – $155.00 (14-16 hours, 2 days)
  • Blended First Aid (Partial Online) – $155.00 (All theory completed online + 8 hours in-class hands-on training)
  • Emergency First Aid (EFA) – $135.00 (8 hours, 1 day)
  • Standard Childcare First Aid (CCFA) – $155.00 (14-16 hours, 2 days)
  • CPR/AED Level C Stand Alone Training (CPR) – $100.00 (4 hours)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) – $110.00 (4-6 hours, 1 day)
  • First Responder (FR) – $1,100.00 (40 hours)
  • Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) – $1,800.00 (80 hours)
  • Psychological First Aid (PFA) – $180.00 (12-14 hours, 2 days)
  • Babysitting & Youth Leader Training (BT) – $65.00 (6-8 hours, 1 day)
  • Standard First Aid Recertification Courses(SFA-R) – $135.00 (8 hours, 1 day)
  • Instructor Trainer (IT) – $650.00 (4 days)
  • Instructor Recertification (IT-R) – $250.00 (1 day per discipline)

Please Note: Recertification courses are only available to participants with current, valid certification cards. Expired certifications cannot be accepted. No exceptions.


Cancellation and Payment Policy

Full payment is required upon booking or your spot cannot be held. If you need to cancel, 48 hours notice is required for a full refund. Refunds will be determined as per circumstance after that.

We accept cash and paypal method payments as well as email money transfers. We regret we do not accept checks. We offer student rates, please contact for more information.

Please ensure you bring indoor shoes to the course.

Private Courses & Minimum Registration

As per Canadian Red Cross policy, a minimum of four participants is required for private courses.

If a publicly scheduled FirstHand FirstAid course does not reach the minimum of four registered participants, the course will be cancelled 72 hours prior to the scheduled start time.

Our teaching methods are interactive and engaging, incorporating group work, discussion, and hands-on skills practice. We pride ourselves on delivering professional, energetic training that keeps participants involved and confident.

(Boredom is not part of our curriculum.)

We also have Teaching Experience Supervisors on staff to support co-teaching and instructor development.


Course Information

  • Courses run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Approximately 45 minutes is allotted for lunch
  • Participants arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be permitted to join the class
  • Indoor shoes are required
  • All certification cards are digital and emailed
  • Participant manuals are provided digitally
  • A valid email address is required for registration

  • 48 hours notice is required for a full refund.
  • Refunds after that period will be considered based on circumstances.

Private Courses & Minimum Registration

In accordance with Canadian Red Cross policy, a minimum of four (4) registered participants is required to proceed with a private course.

For publicly scheduled courses hosted by FirstHand FirstAid, a minimum enrollment of four (4) participants is required. If this minimum is not met, the course will be cancelled 48 hours prior to the scheduled start time, and registered participants will be notified accordingly.


Cancellation & Payment Policy

Full payment is required at the time of booking to confirm and secure registration. A registration is not considered confirmed until payment has been received.

Cancellations must be submitted at least 48 hours prior to the course start time to qualify for a full refund. Cancellations received with less than 48 hours notice will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

We accept payment by cash, debit, credit (processed securely via Square), and email money transfer. Company cheques are accepted. Personal cheques are not accepted.
